At American Institute of Caring, we offer both full classroom learning and blended online learning with skills testing for our BLS CPR Classes. For those students who are new to CPR, we do reccommend the full in-person classroom experience. For those CPR providers who are confident in their skills and simply need recertified, the blended option is both conveinent and can be scheduled around your busy schedules. Both options will ensure you are prepared to give high-quality CPR and the use of an AED.
Groups or businesses may schedule onsite skills testing in your workplace for BLS or HeartSaver certifications. Contact Us to discuss this option. Group discounts are not given - prices are per perosn plus instructor mileage.

American Heart Association BLS CPR is geared towards healthcare providers and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills. Professionals in pre-hospital settings (EMTs, Paramedics, Fire Fighters), acute care settings (doctors, nurses, CNA, etc.), and sub-acute settings (medical clinics, dental offices, home health care, and nursing homes are encouraged to take this course. This course does satisfy nursing program entry requirements for BLS CPR.

Blended Online Courses: Course Duration: 2-4 Hours
American Heart Association HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the BLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete an in-person hands-on skills session at American Institute of Caring.
This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in hospital and pre-hospital settings. This course does satisfy nursing program entry requirements for BLS CPR.
Complete 1st Part Online (2-3 Hours):
Enroll for online portion of the blended course. The course information will be emailed to you. Click on the link in the email to begin. The online portion of most HeartCode BLS courses can be completed within approximately 2 to 3 hours. Some students will be faster than others depending on how quickly they read & learn. Upon succesful completion of the online course, students must also complete skills testing in person to be fully certified. You must finish online portion and bring proof of completion with you to skills test or email to info@americaninstituteofcaring.com.
Complete 2nd Part In-Person (1 Hour):
Schedule Skills Testing at American Institute of Caring. This is the hands-on skills application portion of the blended course. The time to complete this portion varies per student and is dependent on their experience. Most students will complete in less than 60 minutes. The instructor will review the information you learned online, give you some time to practice, and then test your skills.
Your completion card will only be emailed to you after completing both parts. HeartCode CPR certification is valid for 2 Years.
